Noises in the dark

I hear noises in the dark,
I get up straining my ears
I try to follow it
only to find that its my lil heart
making woozy noises,
confused noises,
flustered noises,
excited noises,
sad noises
at times pained..
I listen with all attention
Trying to make sense
Trying to understand
What its saying
Where it wants me to go
Where it leads me
I meet with no success
The best it can do is make helpless noises
And I let it be noisy and wild
In the hope that it will find peace somehow
